This is Ivor Baptist’s free after-school program that normally meets each 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 4:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Grow your Faith by Leaps and Bounds!
Wonderful Wednesdays (WW) is for children grades 1-6 & UP and provides a time for them to attend church activities in a format similar to Vacation Bible School. It is a time for enrichment and for children to experience and discover God’s love through activities and interaction with church volunteers.
Children must be registered by their parent or guardian to participate in Wonderful Wednesdays. We have registration forms available for pick up or you may request that they be emailed to you. If you know of children who may be interested in attending, we please share this information with them and/or direct them to us.
Upon the school’s receipt of written permission from their parents, WW children attending Nottoway Elementary will ride a special bus which lets them off at IBC. The note to the school should include the phrase “until further notice, I give permission/request that,” etc. In addition to the note from the parent, Ivor Baptist Church will also provide Nottoway Elementary School with a list of the names of WW children. In the event that a child will not be attending WW on any given date, the parent must notify the school in writing of the change. Any child not attending Nottaway will need to be transported to WW meetings by a parent or other custodian. The hours for WW are from 4:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
WW provides a healthy after school snack, offers a Bible lesson usually with some art or craft and a time of recreation or singing.
